Why hello darling!
My name is Andrea and I am a queer activist living and going to school in Portland, OR.
I tend to rant about things that bother me in life and thus, this blog was born. I needed a place to rant and wham bam thank you ma'am - ramblingsofaqueeractivist.
I'm studying sociology at the University of Portland, where I spent some time working as a writing assistant and as the student intern with the faculty and staff collaboration on campus globalization and internationalization. I also spent time on the exec board and as a member of the campus Gay Straight Partnership but recently resigned as the vice president. I'll be graduating in early May 2014 and don't really have any plans from there.
I've worked with organizations in the Portland area on marriage equality, immigration, and food security for low income individuals. I also spent the summer of 2012 in western Kenya, where I worked on community health and data collection/analysis.
