This blog was born out of my desire to explore the world that I'm living in. I wanted a place in which to interact with issues like gender, class, race, etc.
I should state this now: I am a white, middle class, almost college graduate. English is my first and really only language and I am a US citizen. I'm pansexual in sexuality (I love across the spectrum) and genderqueer in gender but prefer using the term queer to refer to both. My gender is fluid but present in a primarily feminine butch way and I use queer to mean anti-heteronormative.
With all of that in mind, I will make mistakes and my view points do come from a white US citizen perspective. This blog was created as my way to challenge my identities and assumptions and to hopefully make others reevaluate theirs as well.
I'm not a scholar on issues but rather a student armed with the internet and too many books. If there is something problematic that I say or reference, call me out on it. I might not know otherwise.
