So this video is actually pretty great. It's a collection of advice from people to their seventh grade selves, especially around areas of sexual orientation and gender identity.
My favourite part was "It's up to you to educate yourself... You have Google. USE IT." I love this so very much because while I do love have conversations with people around sexual orientation and gender identity, I almost always seem to find myself in a position of educating the other, of answering people's questions. And I'm not saying I don't like that because that's something that I really love doing. I really enjoy educating people about the diversity of identities in the queer community. But at the same time, it gets rather frustrating to constantly be in that position.
